At the end of October 2020 an exhibition "SS-Sonderkommando Sobibor. German death camp 1942–1943" presenting the tragic fate of the victims was opened.

The museum and the area surrounding it have undergone a major transformation. The facility has a new building, which presents, among others, exhibits obtained during archaeological works. Numerous items belonging to prisoners remind the visitors of the personal tragedies of the victims. In order to communicate knowledge more effectively, the exhibition has been enriched with numerous multimedia forms. In addition to the exhibition room, the Museum also has a space for educational activities and a visitor service centre.
